Fixing things around you is nothing to do with gender. I believe it’s a sense of responsibility to take the initiative and do it by thinking creatively. When I used to think of fixing things I choose to step back because for me only a skilful person who know how to fix a particular thing can do it. Going through the concept of leadership and examining myself, my perspective towards fixing things by taking the first step is like little lollipops in our life, the little and valuable moments of cherish and accomplishment. And nothing just that, learning comes free with taking initiatives.

Luckily, practicing the idea of fixing things around me, I came up with an idea of fixing my sister’s one of her favourites makeup product.

Few days back, my sister bought her very first blush-on from her savings. She was very excited to try it. She tried and loved it. But, unfortunately it broke down and along with it her excitement about the blush-on went away. For some days, she was not using it. I asked : “Eman you were very excited about this blush-on why aren’t you using it now?” She replied sadly: “It broke down and now I don’t want to use it because it spreads all around when I open it”.

She had her emotions with the blush-on because she got it from her savings. And now, she just can’t use it. While doing the course leadership and reading the instructions about “Fixing stuff around you”, my mind clicked and i thought why not try to fix her blush-on. I watched some tutorials and find one that I can easily follow to fix that broken makeup product. I just followed the instructions and fixed it.

The next part of this story is even more interesting. I surprised my younger sister with the fixed one and she was like how did you do that. She was so happy and amazed that it can be fixed and it’s like a new one. All my family members asked me how did you fix it so nicely, it looked like it’s new. Thanks to Amal Academy for giving me the idea to take initiative without any authority. And of course, during this all I learned how to fix makeup now. It’s a big thing to me because I got my sister’s favourite thing fixed and the smile on her face is captured in my memory forever.
